You should include all of the following items in your research summary:

-
Methods: Briefly indicate the experimental methods used.
-
Results: Summarize the essential results.
-
Conclusion: Provide an interpretation of your findings that is supported by your results. Detailed discussion of results is not necessary. A few concluding sentences should suffice to summarize the main findings.

If you have questions about the application process, please contact Bob Bourret (bourret@med.unc.edu).
ELIGIBILITY
Due to limited funds, scholarships are only available to graduate students or postdoctoral scientists. No more than one trainee per lab will be awarded a scholarship. Recipients of scholarships to attend previous BLAST meetings are not eligible for a new scholarship.
Recipients of in person scholarships are expected to present a talk or a poster, and to stay for the duration of the meeting. Recipients of online scholarships are expected to view live or recorded talks.
DECISIONS
All applicants will be notified as soon as possible if they have been awarded or
denied a scholarship, hopefully by mid-October. No decisions will be made until after
applications close.
